Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ) is an exceptional discipleship ministry for children, in which they memorize and meditate on the Bible from a young age. Within this ministry, children learn about essential Biblical truths and doctrines, as well as their connections to proper moral living. The goal of JBQ is to provide a strong Biblical foundation, helping them grow close to God and live morally and productively as good citizens of their country. Success comes when a child begins to love the Bible and its Author, God, and displays God’s love to everyone.
Format
In a competitive format, children learn important values of teamwork, sportsmanship, fellowship, ownership, and submission Children who actively participate in JBQ are more likely to remain faithful Christians later in life.
Fundamentals
Some of the questions provide background about the Bible and its contents. Other questions explore the teachings and doctrine within the Bible. All of the questions together give children a solid basis for a strong and lasting relationship with God.
Fun Learning
JBQ is in the format of a quiz competition in which students memorize answers to questions and recite those answers in a quiz match. There are 576 such questions/answers, split across 3-point values and containing normal questions and quotation questions.
Foundations
Children learn, from a young age, essential stories from the Bible, teachings, doctrines, and verses that WILL stick with them for the rest of their lives. JBQ is unique in that it’s in a competition format, which encourages the children to commit to memorizing God’s Word in the form of these questions and answers.
